The Dorset countryside offers a wide range of shooting. Deer stalking, walked up game, driven game, wildfowling, simulated game, sporting clays, skeet and trap.
The
Casterbridge is centrally situated for visitors to a number of shoots.
Stalkers please note that we do not have a game larder but we can usually
store a few brace of birds.

Automatic traps offering DTL, ABT,
Universal Trench, Olympic Trap, Double Trap, both Olympic and English Skeet,
English Sporting, Sportrap and FITASC. Also driven game.
Clay target shooting, live game shooting and deer stalking.
Purbeck Shooting School have a section run by women for women.

Day Permits Available: Application forms can be obtained from the Wildfowl Officer, Mr. S. Russell, by post only. You must provide a copy of your shotgun certificate and BASC membership card together with a passport photograph and details of other wildfowling clubs you may belong to.
